Unionville, PA -- Join us as we honor our 2023 Equestrian Legend of Unionville honoree, Joy Slater, in a ringside brunch celebration on Sunday, September 24, sponsored by The National Bank of Malvern. Ticket includes general admission to the grounds for Sunday, as well as brunch in the ringside VIP tent.
In 1981, Joy Slater Carrier became the first woman to win the Maryland Hunt Cup, riding Cancottage. Frank Chapot, a Show Jumping Hall of Fame member as both rider and coach, had said "Joy was the greatest all-around horsewoman he had ever seen. I guess someone who can—all in the same day—win a sidesaddle class at the prestigious Devon Horse Show, win a timber race at Fair Hill in the afternoon and return to Devon and win the Amateur Owner Jumper Stake that night … is a complete horsewoman".

About Plantation Field
The 16th annual Plantation Field International will take place September 21-24, 2023 in Unionville, PA. Featuring CCI4* competition, the event is a favorite of a number of Olympic level riders and up and coming eventing stars!

Attractions include a ringside sponsor tent, an extensive trade fair, tailgating with great views of the cross country course, a Kids’ Korner, and entertainment in the main arena. Tailgating is available Saturday and Sunday overlooking the CCI4*-S and CCI3*-S cross country courses. Spectators can pack a picnic or enjoy local food trucks and quench their thirst with a stop by our beer garden. Charitable beneficiaries are the Chester County Food Bank chestercountyfoodbank.org and Cheshire Land Preservation Fund cheshirehuntconservancy.org.
