I, the undersigned, on my own behalf and on behalf of my minor child/children acknowledge that I am aware that horseback riding is a dangerous activity and that serious bodily injury possibly including paralysis and/or death may result from accidents while riding.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the schooling day sponsored by Plantation Field Equestrian Events, Inc., a Maryland non-profit corporation (hereafter, sponsor), I, for myself and for my child/children, do hereby release the Sponsor and Cuyler Walker, owner of the “Plantation Field”, owner of the adjacent site of the schooling day event (hereinafter Landowner), from any claim for loss, damage, or injury to me, to my child/children, to my horse, or to my child/children’s horse(s) from participation in the Sponsor’s schooling day activity.

I further acknowledge that I, on my own behalf and on behalf of my minor child/children, am knowingly assuming the risks associated with the schooling day activity. I further agree to be solely responsible for any and all damage or injury caused to other persons and property by me, my minor child/children, my horse, or my minor child/children’s horse(s).

I agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Sponsor and the Landowner from any claim, damage, or cost, including the costs of litigation, which may be incurred by the Sponsor or Landowner and arising from or out of my participation, or my child/children’s participation, in the schooling day activities.

I acknowledge that I have read this release and I on my own behalf and on behalf of my minor child/children execute this release.
